JOB DESCRIPTION
FOR
Youth Pastor

REQUIREMENT:

At the beginning, this is a part-time (Halftime 20 hours per week) position. If the staff person proof himself /herself that he/she is capable to develop this program. The call will change to full time position. We require the staff person be a graduate from seminaries recognized by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), or seminarian who is studying in seminaries recognized by the PCUSA and preferably a bilingual person: Chinese and English. This person should be a mature and dedicated Christian, who can perform assigned duties with minimum supervision. Yet, he/she is accountable to the Pastor and to the Session.

RESPONSIBILITY:

1. To plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and supervise the EBAYOM program (East Bay Asian Youth Outreach Ministry).
2. To develop and organize youth programs, including weekly meetings such as (Youth program on Friday evenings, and activities on Saturday.) Once a week on a weekday, he/she is required to be present at the Church during the after school program to supervise the teaching staff of the EBAYOM program.
3. To research and submit applications to various income sources.
4. To coordinate and supervise the Summer School which is held 8 weeks from 9:00 A.M. to 5:15 P.M. during the weekdays.
5. To provide leadership, guidance and counseling to the Church Sunday School.
6. To assist the pastor if necessary in carrying out his duties for the Church, including but not limited to delivering sermon occasionally, leading worship service, and attending meetings.

REMUNERATION:

1. Annual salary of $28,000, including FICA, pension and medical.
2. Housing and auto allowance of $10,000.
3. Paid vacation of 2 weeks.
