Lead English Pastor: Sunset Church (San Francisco, CA)

Posted by sedwardyang on June 10, 2009

This is a key position on the Sunset pastoral staff.  The pastoral staff works with the church leadership to plan, direct, oversee and guide the local Body of believers to maturity in their walk with God.  The pastoral staff works as a ‘team’ to administer church affairs and effectively equip the church body to fulfill the day-to-day ministry through activities such as small groups, Sunday School classes, outreach, missions, etc.).

This is a senior staff position that requires effective teaching skill, ability to guide & motivate key lay leaders to shoulder key ministry areas within the English congregation.  We believe the most effective way to oversee ministry is to develop mature believers who can exercise their God-given ministry abilities within the church.  Special emphasis is given to two ministry areas:

1. Development, refinement, and fulfillment of unified church vision, mission, and values (in conjunction with pastoral staff and elders), and
2. Lay leadership development, especially for the elder and deacon level.
